Our aluminium bifold doors use slim, thermally broken frames to maximise glass area and minimise sightlines, folding neatly to one or both sides on a smooth-glide track system. Configurations range from a compact two-panel set to a full seven-panel opening, with a low-profile or fully flush threshold to suit your floor level.

Slim 100mm interlock sightlines keep the view through to the garden as uninterrupted as possible, while a thermally broken aluminium frame keeps thermal performance close to that of a uPVC alternative.

Track system

A smooth-glide track, rated for daily use

Panels run on a top-hung track system with a weight-bearing capacity engineered for years of daily folding, and a choice of an in-line traffic door so you don't need to open the whole set for everyday access.

Bifold door track and roller mechanism

Bifold doors are described by their panel count and configuration — for example, a '3+0' set has three panels folding entirely to one side, while a '2+2' set splits four panels between both sides of the opening. We'll talk you through the best configuration for your opening width and preferred stacking position during your survey.

Common questions about bifold doors

Configurations typically range from two to seven panels, folding to one or both sides of the opening. We recommend a configuration based on your opening width and how much of the set you want to open for everyday access.

A fully flush, low-profile threshold is available for level-access openings, dropping to around 20mm — ideal where you want an uninterrupted transition to a patio or deck. A standard weather-resistant threshold is fitted as default.

Yes, our bifold door systems are tested to BS 6375 for weathertightness, covering resistance to air permeability, water penetration and wind load.

Any RAL colour is available via powder coating, including dual-colour options (a different shade inside and out), so you can match your existing windows and doors exactly.
