Multi-point locking as standard
Every door we fit locks at a minimum of five points via a sash-locking or hookbolt mechanism, engaging into a reinforced keep at the hinge and lock side. Composite doors are tested to PAS 24 as standard, with a Secured by Design upgrade available; our aluminium bifold sets share the same multi-point shootbolt locking on the primary door leaf.
Common questions about our doors
Composite doors lock at a minimum of five points as standard (up to eight on our Ultimate range) via a hookbolt multi-point mechanism, and are tested to PAS 24. Bifold doors lock via a multi-point shootbolt system on the primary opening leaf, with additional flag bolts securing the remaining panels.
Composite doors achieve a U-value of between 1.0 and 1.4 W/m²K thanks to their solid engineered core, comfortably outperforming a standard timber door. Our aluminium bifold doors use a thermally broken frame to achieve a U-value of 1.4-1.6 W/m²K.
Composite doors are available in a wide range of GRP skin colours, with a different colour inside and out as standard. Bifold doors are powder-coated in any RAL colour, so you can match your window frames exactly.
